Motorla Surfboard LED's

The LED's on the front of the Surfboard allow the user to quickly look at the status of the modem. It has 5 LED's, they are; Power, Recieve, Send, Online and Activity.

What do they mean?:

Power - Lights when AC power is provided to the cable modem.

Recieve - Becomes static when modem has established downstream connectivity.
Send - Becomes static when modem has established upstream connectivity.
Online -
Becomes static when modem has recieved an IP address from your ISP.

Activity - Flashes when data is sent or recieved through the modem.

If the modem can't complete a task (ie: establish downstream connectivity) the associated light will flash until the task is completed.
